Being a librarian is my second career. My first was in advertising as a buyer in an ad ageny in NYC. After child #1,wild Timothy, was born the city job was ditched for Motherhood. After child #2, shy and reserved Rebecca, I decided to go back to work part-time so I could be home when they got off the bus. Working as an aide in my children's elementary school wasn't enough of a challenge for me so I spent 4 1/2 years taking and paying for courses one at a time to become a librarian. It will be 3 years this September that I have been a full-time librarian. My son has just finished his first year of college and home for the summer. He is driving me nuts. I now simply adore coming to work. My daughter Rebecca keeps me on my toes with all her after school activites of music and dance.
At 17 she wants my car so instead of being the taxi now I am being left at home. Since I don't have to drive I can have that daily margarita I have been craving each night. I am involved in quite a few organizations- AOTT, Columbiettes, Gemini Youth Orchestra Board, PTA.
